District leaders accompanied a team from Wold Architects and Engineers, the firm that designed the majority of the district’s construction projects made possible by the community’s support of the 2019 bond referendum, to present at the EDspaces “Designing the Future of Education” national conference. The annual event is described as the place where leaders and innovators unite to drive the future of learning environments, where technology, space and pedagogy converge.

At the October 23, 2023 School Board Work Session, representatives from Wold Architects and Kraus-Anderson provided an update on the district-wide Building Our Future Referendum projects.

The Field House indoor walking track is open for free walking from 6-9 p.m. every Monday through Thursday at the current White Bear Lake Area High School - North Campus (5040 Bald Eagle Avenue in White Bear Lake).

White Bear Lake Area High School has been named a Silver member of the 2023 AP School Honor Roll, which recognizes schools for an AP program that is delivering results and broadening access for students. Schools can earn the Honor Roll recognition annually based on their ability to increase their school’s college-going culture, provide opportunities for students to earn college credit, and maximize college readiness.

The White Bear Lake Police Department (WBLPD) School Resource Officer (SRO) program that had been suspended in our secondary schools will resume.

As the 2023-24 school year has begun, traffic at White Bear Lake Area High School - North Campus has settled into a regular pattern at the Bald Eagle Avenue side of the building, which is serving as the current main entrance with construction happening on the Division Avenue side of the building.

Safety upgrades were a focus of the facilities work made possible by the bond referendum approved by the community in 2019 and of the capital projects levy approved in 2022. Using these funding sources, the district has been able to implement a variety of safety and security upgrades throughout the district in recent years.

The Price Field construction project will be complete soon. The original grass field was taken out and the new turf field was installed running north-south, parallel with Bald Eagle Avenue. Turning the field created enough space to add an eight-lane running track around the field, something that had not been possible with the original field.

Senior community members (age 65+) who live in the District are invited to participate in the Senior Activities Pass program and enjoy complimentary admission to school activities.
