White Bear Lake Area High School Names Jeremy Post Head Boys’ Basketball Coach

White Bear Lake Area High School is excited to announce the hiring of Jeremy Post as the new Head Coach of the Boys’ Basketball program.

Post brings an outstanding resume of coaching success, leadership, and commitment to student-athletes to the role. Since 2006, he has served as the Head Girls’ Basketball Coach at White Bear Lake Area High School, building one of the premier programs in the state of Minnesota.
During his tenure leading the girls program, Post guided the Bears to a State Runner-Up finish in 2010, third place at the state tournament in 2022, and fourth-place finishes in 2011 and 2016. His teams captured nine Section 4AAAA Championships and state tournament appearances (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2022, 2024, and 2025) along with six Suburban East Conference Championships.

Post was named Minnesota State Coach of the Year in 2022 and was inducted into the Girls Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame in 2024. He has also earned Section and Conference Coach of the Year honors more than ten times throughout his coaching career.

In addition to leading the girls’ basketball program, Post has been deeply involved in White Bear athletics for more than two decades. He served as a Boys’ Basketball Assistant Coach from 2005-2007 and has been a Varsity Football Assistant Coach since 2005, coaching multiple levels and both sides of the ball. He also served as a Middle School Golf Coach from 2014-2016.

“We are thrilled to have Jeremy Post leading our boys’ basketball program,” said Brian Peloquin. “Jeremy is a proven leader who understands what it means to build relationships, develop young people, and create a championship culture. His passion for White Bear, commitment to students, and history of success make him the perfect fit to lead our program moving forward.”

Post shared his excitement about the opportunity to lead the boys program.

“I am very excited to be moving over to the boys’ basketball program,” said Jeremy Post. “It is very tough to leave the girls’ program and the amazing kids and people that I have been blessed to work with over the past twenty years. I am grateful and honored to be given the opportunity to give whatever I can to the boys’ program and hope to make a positive impact on all the boys and their experience.”

White Bear Lake Area High School looks forward to the continued growth and success of the boys’ basketball program under Post’s leadership.

Go Bears!
